Access Learning Academy Team

I’ve worked in the educational field for the past 16 years in all levels of education from preschool through graduate studies at two universities. I have developed and coordinated the Dyslexia Therapist programs at the University of Arkansas and Missouri State University. I earned my bachelor’s degree in education at Missouri State University, then my master’s degree in special education at the University of Arkansas. During my experience working in the public schools, I completed my certification as an Academic Language Therapist (CALT) through the Take Flight program which fueled my passion for reading and dyslexia. After my CALT certification, I continued my dyslexia education at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital and Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia, completing the QI training program. Throughout this time, I’ve logged over 10,000 hours of dyslexia therapy and trained over 90+ teachers and therapists in the Take Flight program. I’ve trained 500+ teachers within the university programs.
